Simon and the Steel Slide
After church on Sunday, Simon was adamant, ADAMANT I tell you, that I take him out to the playground for a little rough-and-tumble. It took a little loitering about while his brain worked feverishly to crack the cipher that his heart had used to tell him just what it was that he really wanted to do out here. But, once cracked, he made no detours on his way over to the steel slide, whereupon he immediately began to dribble small, roundish pebbles across its metallic surface. Squealing like an agitated pig (agitated in the good sense of the word) he would have continued to do this had I not ultimately placed him back in the watchful care of his parents. After he left, I returned to the slide and dribbled some rocks of my own... for about 6 hours, and then it got dark and cold.
